Winter equipment (snow chains) necessary
Your journey from Germany via the border crossing in Lindau and from Switzerland via the border crossing in Feldkirch is likely to be without any inconvenience, even in winter. There are no major ascents/descents or mountain passes.

Please note that you need to buy a road ticket – the “Vignette” – if you want to use any of the Austrian motorways. You can purchase these road tickets at border or petrol stations, kiosks and through your automobile club. |
